Warehouse Technician
Inpria Corporation, a subsidiary of JSR Corporation, has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Technician based in Corvallis, OR. We seek an enthusiastic and conscientious candidate to join our logistics team contributing to the success of our Manufacturing Operations. Logistics prepares and executes the shipment of dangerous goods, assists with chemical and labware purchasing and inventories, and maintains a clean and organized warehouse and laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in 493FR DOT regulatory compliance, and international shipping experience, as well as experience loading and unloading materials using an industrial forklift.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Complete provided training and certification courses on dangerous goods shipping and waste handling.
· Pack, label, document, and manage routine dangerous goods shipments to global partners.
· Monitor and maintain inventories of shipping and waste processing supplies.
· Monitor and maintain inventories of laboratory consumables and stock chemicals across multiple facilities at our Corvallis site.
· Process incoming freight shipments through acceptance, storage, and inventory documentation. Verify shipment was received in good condition and scan freight paperwork, as needed.
· Loading, unloading, and moving freight between delivery and storage areas using a cart, pallet jack, and industrial forklift.
· Process incoming labware shipments to ensure timely, accurate inventory updates and end-user delivery.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area and warehouse environment that meets safety standards.
· Janitorial tasks in chemical laboratory environments.
· Assist laboratory staff with reception of freight shipments, storage, and movement of equipment and chemicals.
· Routine maintenance of select laboratory equipment.
· Support EHS staff via routine inspections of select safety equipment and hazardous waste storage locations.
Key Qualifications
· High-School diploma or GED plus 2 years relevant work experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment OR Associates degree or equivalent in a scientific or technical field.
· Record of safety and conscientiousness in the presence of hazardous chemicals.
· Well-organized, proactive, flexible, and eager to learn; able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
· Preference is given to candidates with chemical handling, hazardous waste, EHS and/or dangerous goods shipping experience and/or certifications.
· Verifiably good driving record.
· Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of shipping Hazardous Materials.
· DOT 493 A training.
· Previous experience shipping material Internationally.
· Completed IATA and DOT certification.
· Experience transporting materials using a pallet jack and an industrial forklift.
Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to lift 30 lbs. overhead; ability to lift 75 lbs to waist level; walk and stand for extended periods; use hand trucks or forklifts to shift packages, drums, and cylinders; use keyboard and mouse for computer data entry.
